Brian and his team were clear about the purchase, shipping, and transport from the beginning, and the scooter itself was restored beautifully. The one thing I would mention to anyone buying from California is the registration process. The DMV wanted the original title transfer paperwork from Vietnam, which turned into a bit of a headache. I eventually got it sorted out with a Surety Bond. If I were doing it again, I'd take care of that part ahead of time. That little paperwork issue aside, I absolutely love the Vespa. It looks fantastic, runs great, and I'm very happy I went through with the purchase.”

“The scooter arrived towards the end of December, so I haven't had a huge amount of time on it yet, but I've managed around 350 km so far and I'm really pleased with it. The ride is smooth and, to be honest, it feels more stable than my old P200. I can't fault Brian and the team when it comes to communication. They were always helpful and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The scooter gets attention everywhere I take it. People are constantly commenting on how good it looks, which is always nice. Registration was straightforward enough. Just make sure you have all the paperwork they send you and it's really not a difficult job. It arrived very well packed in a sturdy wooden crate, properly secured down. The toolbox had the spares, and they also included a cover, bulbs, spark plug, socket, cables, manual and all the relevant paperwork. I ordered a bench seat as well as the singles, my opinion the bench is better as the riding position is better.Also had indicators fitted which look brilliant. All in all so far am well impressed with build quality and finish fair play to Brian his scooters do exactly what he states they do. Looking forward to getting it run in.”

“It's been just over two years now since I purchased my 1968 VLB Sprint from Brian online. I was also fortunate enough to have a holiday in Vietnam planned around the same time, so I took the opportunity to visit Brian and see the finished scooter for myself before it was shipped home. The Sprint and I have now covered around 3,500 km without missing a beat. I did spend some time getting the carburettor properly tuned for our local conditions, and with the right combination of spark plugs for summer and winter, the scooter has given me absolutely no trouble. I also use the Vespa for moto pacing with my son's cycling team, and it's always a big hit with the people watching. There's something pretty special about riding past on a red 1968 Vespa Sprint with eight members of the team following behind at 50 km/h. It certainly gets a few heads turning! Brian has always been more than happy to help whenever I've needed any support or advice. Having met him personally in Vietnam, I've found it even easier to get in touch and know that he's there if I need him. The Sprint has already given me plenty of great days and I'm sure there are many more to come. It's been a lot of fun and I'm very happy with the scooter.”

“I travel to Vietnam for work and have always loved seeing and riding scooters over there. I actually had a Rally 200 back in the 60s when I was in Australia, so I knew I wanted to relive those days again. After doing quite a bit of research and visiting some other Vespa restoration businesses, I decided to go with Scialla Scooters. Brian's advice throughout the process was excellent, and importing the scooter into Australia was actually very straightforward. The only painful part was the extra cost of getting it all the way over to Tasmania! When the scooter arrived, it was exactly what Brian and I had put together through our emails. I took it to the local roadworthy examination station, and they were initially quite negative about the fact that I had bought the scooter in Vietnam. They went over it looking for problems, but after examining it properly and certifying it, they said, ‘What a great restoration job!' It passed without a problem. I did have one minor issue with a carburettor jet, but Brian fixed it immediately and sent out a new one. The replacement arrived within a week, so that was sorted very quickly. I've now got 650 km on the clock and the scooter seems to get better every time I ride it. I'm looking forward to reaching the 1,000 km mark. Every time I take it out, people want to stop and have a look at it, and quite a few want to take photos as well. It certainly gets a lot of attention wherever I go.”
