Packing and
shipping
We take great care in packing and shipping each scooter to
ensure its safe delivery. Our wooden crates are custom-designed
to fit the exact dimensions of the scooter, with materials
tested for impact resistance. Constructed from durable 1/2-inch
plywood, the crates are reinforced with sturdy wooden supports
to provide optimal protection during transport. The base is made
from especially durable material to ensure the scooter remains
stable and secure, preventing movement inside the crate.
To secure the scooter,
the front wheel and kickstand are fastened with tailor-made clamps. All
vulnerable areas are then carefully wrapped and padded to protect against
scratches and dents. Chrome parts are treated with a protective paste to
preserve their shine and guard against abrasions. With our years of
experience, we have perfected the art of shipping vintage scooters.
All spare parts and
accessories are individually wrapped and padded to prevent damage. These
items are carefully placed within the crate, ensuring they stay secure and
do not cause any harm to the scooter during transit. To further safeguard
the contents, the entire crate is lined with UV-resistant, water-repellent
plastic to protect against dust and moisture.
Each shipment
undergoes multiple inspections before being sealed and dispatched. Our
crates comply with international shipping standards, and all shipments are
fumigated and treated against pests to meet regulations.

Vintage Vespa and
Lambretta shipping requires precision, and we take every measure to minimize
the risk of any shipping-related incidents. To date, we have never had to
file an insurance claim for shipping damage, thanks to our meticulous
approach to packaging and shipment handling.
Pickup and
customs
Once your scooter is in
transit, a forwarding company will contact you to coordinate the
pickup and help guide the shipment through customs. Customs and
import procedures can vary depending on your location, so we
recommend checking with your local authorities for specific
guidelines. However, the pickup process is generally
straightforward, and we are always here to assist you with any
challenges you may encounter.
With extensive
experience in handling international shipments, we are well-versed in
working with forwarding companies, customs officers, and warehouses. After
your scooter clears customs, you will be directed to the nearest warehouse
for pickup. In our experience, a small pickup truck is usually sufficient
for transporting the scooter, and most warehouses will load the scooter into
your vehicle free of charge.
When picking up your
scooter, be sure to secure the wooden crate with strong straps to ensure the
safety of your valuable cargo during transport. If you are unable to pick up
the scooter yourself, or prefer not to, you can arrange for local delivery
directly with the warehouse, usually for an additional fee.
